So who is behind Nikki R Photo….

Hi Everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit my site. I am Nikki, the owner and creator behind Nikki R Photo. I started in the wedding industry 10 years ago & love being in this business. I visit amazing venues and meet some fabulous people! Capturing the wedding day, newborn babies and then watching a family grow is magical and makes my job so easy to enjoy! I’ve made some fabulous friends over the years and I love that my work is diverse. I have recently created The Mobile Portrait Booth, so head over to my sister website to find out more about that!.

Where it all began

Nikki r photo began in 2010 ……

I have always had an interest in Photography, from an early age of going out hiking in the country and taking photos of the wonderful views. I studied a BTEC Diploma in Art & Design but from there soon realised Photography was my passion. I went on to study Contemporary Photographic Practise at Northumbria University. I adored the course as I gained an understanding of film photography and spent most my days buried away in the darkroom!!

Straight out of University I worked for a company doing school photos travelling around Yorkshire and the North East. Then one day I was asked to do a wedding….I loved it! I went self employed in 2010 and have never looked back. I began on a tiny desk in my spare room and now have an office and studio in Bedale Hall. I love that I can be there to capture those most important moments in peoples’ lives.
